WHAT YOU’LL DO

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of security principles and policies across the AlinIQ portfolio of cutting-edge medical and non-medical software and devices. The Cybersecurity Analyst/Engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product research and development teams, working closely with software engineers, product management and development, and divisional and corporate information systems. Key performance indicators for this role include assessing and maintaining compliance to security policies and standards, timely provisioning of product security assessments, and support for auditing of our secure product lifecycle for the AlinIQ portfolio of products. The role requires the ability to work in an environment that is fast paced, to work independently, and to apply the latest security design and tooling strategies available.

  • Responsible for ensuring products are safe, secure, and are compliant with division, corporate, and industry regulation and meet customer and patient security expectations.
  • Works within an agile, collaborative, multi-discipline environment to produce compliant and secure products.  Identifies cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and helps concept and deliver mitigating functionality.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, analyze impact of vulnerabilities on software and develop/implement mitigations
  • Perform threat analysis/modeling, gap analysis, and security for on-market and in-development products
  • Owns the product cybersecurity deliverables and process compliance. Capable of following and cybersecurity processes, methods, techniques, and tools and assuring their consistent application.
  • Conducts cybersecurity test and evaluation of hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements
  • Evaluation of cybersecurity tooling and implementation as needed in the CI/CD pipeline
  • Participate in feature design, grooming, peer reviews and documentation processes to ensure secure product
  • Build and maintain relationships necessary for the successful execution and sustainability of the product portfolio cybersecurity program
  • Stay abreast of changes in the business and product environment as well as the evolving regulatory and threat landscape
  • Ability to articulate technical discussions to a variety of internal, external, and customer stakeholder groups
  • Participates in establishing technology-specific vision and strategy and processes
  • Participates in the development of Abbott Security policies as applicable to area of expertise
  • May require travel based on project needs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Telecommunications or related field.
  • 4 – 8 years IT experience with Fortune 500 company; 5+ years of experience in secure product development lifecycle engineering strongly desired

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous work experience in a product cybersecurity role is preferred
  • Strong understanding of product cybersecurity and the relationship between threat, vulnerability and potential customer risk in the context of risk management
  • AWS/Azure Certifications preferred, minimally has a strong history working with cloud hosted applications.
  • Hands-on security experience with various technologies , such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Design and Development in a C-like language (ex: C#, Blazor, .Net, Typescript)
  • Familiarity with design of diagnostic medical devices is a plus
  • Understanding of industry standards such as HITRUST, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRAMP, RMF, IMDRF, TIR-57 Principles for medical device security risk management, etc.
  • Experience with secure configuration/hardening of systems
  • Knowledge of Oracle, Delphi and Windows (client server applications) a plus
  • ISC2 CCSP Certified Cloud Security Professional, ITIL Certification(s), or CCNA/P is desirable
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CPP, CFE or SANS are preferred
  • Experience in cryptographic standards and methods and detailed knowledge of cryptographic key management preferred
  • Knowledge about the latest methodologies for product cybersecurity risk assessment and vulnerability management and technologies and tools used within the product security domain is desired
  • Experience in Atlassian suite – JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, and the ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

At our location in Santa Clara, CA, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst to support Abbott’s Hematology Division. This position is a key value-added role within Commercial Finance that partners with various levels of leadership to drive financial ownership, cost efficiency, and process improvement. You will be responsible for complex, timely, and accurate financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the Commercial Sales Organization. Additionally, you will support the SG&A activities, including Marketing, HR and Admin.

  • Develop budgets in support of Annual Plan and Quarterly Forecasts for SG&A cost centers.  Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers in support of business decisions.
  • Provide valuable insight to influence business to achieve financial goals. Ensures proper tracking of commitments and expenditures along with proper accounting treatment.
  • Execute Month-End Close process including journal entries preparation, spending/headcount review, variance analyses, and reporting of monthly results to management.
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses to support complex decision making within Global Marketing operations and present recommendations to management. Serve as financial lead in cross-functional team environments.
  • Compile the Hematology Monthly Financial Update reporting package. Identify variances to Annual Plan and Quarterly Forecasts and create a deck to be shared with all Hematology leadership.
  • Identify areas that can be improved and constructively propose new solutions that drive efficiencies. Develop and utilize sound financial processes to drive improved business performance.
  • Subject Matter Expert for our sales and P&L data bases and perform data analysis of our commercial operations. Including, but not limited to sales and margin and other ad hoc analysis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience
  • Strong verbal/communication skills along with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and build consensus.

Provides support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes, and to ensure that production goals are met.
