Pre-Silicon Software Modeling Engineer (Austin or Remote) – 110861

The Role

Bring AMD’s leading-edge SoCs to life in a virtual environment! Develop Fast Platform Models that simulate software-visible behavior of AMD’s next-generation designs. Enable pre-silicon development of firmware, system, driver and application software. Support emulation acceleration, performance, and power modeling. Enhance our simulation infrastructure and develop innovative, new debug features.

The SoC Virtual Model Development Engineer will have broad scope and work with multiple teams to gather SoC and IP component specifications, plan development to meet milestones, build models, and support internal and external stakeholders. This is a highly visible and impactful role with excellent growth opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external customers to help debug problems running their workloads on the models.

  • Develop new, innovative debug features.
  • Work closely with architecture teams to understand and model new designs.

Preferred Experience

  • Deep understanding of system architecture and system software development.
  • Experience writing high-performance system and application software in C/C++ for Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of x86 or ARM architecture, drivers, and applications.
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows kernel debugging.

Micro-architect/RTL Design Engineer – 104723

The Role:

As a member of the Infinity Fabric Architecture and RTL team, you will help build the next generation last level cache (LLC) and coherent interconnect to provide connectivity between CPU, GPU and special purpose accelerators. Every product that AMD sells has its own custom-designed Infinity Data Fabric, so this role gives an engineer the opportunity to work on a broad array of products that address a variety of markets, including traditional servers, high performance computing, client desktop and laptop PCs, machine intelligence, graphics, console gaming, embedded, and customer-specific applications. The Person:

We are seeking an experienced RTL design engineer with strong communication skills. A global mindset and ability to work in a multi – site environment are keys to being successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Early architectural/performance exploration through micro architectural definition and design.
  • Optimize the design to meet power, performance, area and timing requirements.
  • Write easily readable and synthesizable Verilog RTL.
  • Run some unit level testing to deliver quality code to the Design Verification Team.
  • Create assertions to improve coverage and cover points to analyze coverage of the design.
  • Create well written block level design documentation.
  • Participate in post silicon functional and performance debug and tuning.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience designing logic blocks in CPU, GPU, NOC, or cache designs.
  • Excellent knowledge of Verilog and System Verilog
  • Working knowledge of C, C++ and a scripting language like Perl or Python
  • Strong understanding of digital electronics and high-speed designs(>1GHz).
  • Good understanding of multi-processor coherency, memory ordering, i/o ordering, interrupts, MMU and caches.
  • Good debugging and analytical skills
  • Exposure to Design for Test, understanding of scan concepts and writing DFT friendly RTL
  • Working knowledge of x86 or ARM ISA is a plus.

Academic Credentials:

BS, MS, or PhD degree in Electrical or Computer engineering. Advance degree preferred.

TA Data Analytics Specialist

12 month contract role

THE ROLE:

Our global Talent Acquisition team is searching for a Data Analytics specialist to partner with team members to deliver data analytics using SAP SuccessFactors. In this role, you will partner with team members from our global offices, with ownership of canvas and table reporting, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery of data to our business partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with TA Leads to develop and generate the TA analytics that supports business needs
  • Design, implement and evaluate reports and other information solutions, ensuring reports are consistent, reliable, and accurate
  • Build reporting strategies that enable business decisions for TA and address the needs of management
  • Identify improvements in processes and enhance the efficiency of report delivery models and reporting functionality
  • Partner with IT and HRIS teams to improve data/report automation in SuccessFactors and Enterprise Data Warehouse

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • SuccessFactors Talent Acquisition reporting experience
  • Knowledge of Workforce Analytics, Power BI, Predictive Analytics, Excel Macro, SQL query is a plus
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong consulting, customer service and partnership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience partnering with a global multi-site team
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proficient writing skills for technical and user documents.

We are looking for a software engineer with an interest in compilers and computer architecture and who has a strong background in compiler technology either from work or school.

You will be responsible for the research and development of cutting edge compiler features for the next generation AMD GPUs. Enthusiasm and desire to learn new workflows in our industry-leading compiler software are required.

•            Strong C++ programming skills.
