ROLE SUMMARY:

As District Sales Manager, you will be managing and leading a team of Sales Representatives—ensuring that the team is executing up to expectation and driving results in the trade. This position plays a vital part in executing the priorities of the Wholesaler network. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commitment to sales and share growth within district
  • Manage and cascade communication to ensure execution of national and local sales and marketing plans
  • Facilitate relationship with Anheuser-Busch Wholesaler Network and AB Sales Team
  • Work with wholesaler sales teams to ensure superior execution at retail
  • Analyze sales and share data to identify gaps, diagnose threats and prescribe proactive action plans in the market
  • Manage, lead, motivate, and develop personnel, including selection, performance management, and employee relations by Wholesale Equity Agreement (WEA standards). Schedule and conduct ride-with and team sells as required
  • Maintain retail call frequency as required
  • Establish and monitor quality control standards (product freshness, finished product loss)
  • Develop and execute Impact Selling programs to drive key sales objectives. Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators as it relates to the Sales Department
  • Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, Wholesaler Equity Agreement, and Anheuser-Busch standards and policies
  • Respond, investigate, and resolve retailer questions and concerns
  • Manage expenses for assigned area of responsibility
  • Call on chain buyer to develop and implement retail chain programs
  • Participate in samplings to support brand awareness and consumer trials

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S/B.A in Finance, Business, Marketing or related field preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of AB sales, marketing strategies, and procedures
  • Demonstrated coaching skills, supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects
  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
  • Must meet Wholesaler Equity Agreement certification requirements for the position within required timeframes
  • 2+ years of experience in beverage or consumer products industry
  • Able to commute to an expanded territory
  • Ability to move products, hang merchandise, and fulfill other physical requirements including repetitive lifting, bending, and pulling/pushing

  • Develop innovative people strategies with Senior Leadership team to enable both long and short term business plans.
