The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Inside Customer Service Representative to support Boeing Global Services in Englewood, CO.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures customer satisfaction by answering the day-to-day customer inquiries, transactional requests, and general customer service needs. Escalates any sensitive issues or customer concerns to management as required.
  • Handles troubleshooting and technical support in order to resolve account issues.
  • Provides consultative sales with customers on appropriate solutions for navigation and training requirements.
  • Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of products and services and is able to communicate the features and benefits to customers. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the utilization of order entry and product administration systems.
  • Owns the customer relationship for the assigned customer base.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in a fast paced customer service related environment.
  • Experience in a position where priorities changed frequently and customer service was critical to the team’s success.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Fluency in verbal and written Spanish.
  • Experience working in the aviation industry.

 

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Lead Optical Infrared Systems Analysis Engineer/Physicist (Level 4), El Segundo, CA

Boeing Defense and Space Phantom Works has an opening for a Lead Optical/Infrared Systems/Analysis Engineer/Physicist (Level 4) in El Segundo, CA, in support of multiple programs. The Engineer/Physicist will be responsible for performance modeling, analysis, and optimization of electro-optical payloads, systems and subsystems on space platforms.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and validates requirements for various complex communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
  • Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
  • Develops architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
  • Performs complicated trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
  • Defines and conducts critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
  • Manages appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.
  • Supports project management by providing coordinating development of work statement, budget,  schedule, and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.
  • Generates major sections of proposals to support development of new business.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications Required:

** This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US government requires US citizenship (Post Start)

  • 10+ years’ experience modeling, analysis, and optimization of electro-optical payloads, systems and subsystems.
  • 10+ years’ experience performing design, test, and verification of communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Bachelor’s Physics, Other degrees in Optoelectronics, Electromagnetics, or Optics accepted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance
  • Understanding of US Government program processes, methods, documentation, reviews, and certification

Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
