  • Assess the compliance of credit models with ECOA and other Federal consumer financial laws through developing data and information requests to financial institutions, analyzing the information and data provided, and assist Bureau staff who draw legal conclusions based on the facts developed during the course of an examination or investigation.
  • Assess the adequacy of credit models explain-ability and/or interpretability for purposes of assessing compliance with Federal consumer financial.
  • Analyze data using SQL, Excel, and various statistical software. Develops appropriate data querying, manipulation, cleaning, and processing code that may incorporate data from multiple sources (e.g., relational data, APIs, flat files). Finds simple, understandable, solutions to complex data problems with attention to detail. Presents work products clearly and effectively, using visualizations, when needed. Documents work both through readable self-documenting code, and through documentation in GitHub, and using version-control methodologies (e.g., Git).
  • Train, lead, and provide direction to junior data science staff in the Office; and provides oversight of junior staff in the verification of facts in written statements and documents prepared by staff prior to release of studies and reports.
  • Serve as a project manager for special studies or provides strategic leadership and project management for major outward facing programs for the Office and ensures that Office management is kept abreast of important developments.
  • Represent EDA/T&I in intra-agency, interagency and intergovernmental working groups to develop guidance, policies and procedures addressing difficult current and emerging matters.
