Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new engineering staff.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.
Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring specifications, budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
Serves as project manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
Prepares and executes departmental budget.
Negotiates contracts with outside vendors.
Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to be hands on with the team and get in the weeds when need be.
Required Skills/Abilities: 
Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Shopify, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.
Experience with Klaviyo, Attentive, Yotpo, Swym, Algolia & Tapcart are a plus.
Experience with figma/adobe for design hand offs.
Good command on Progressive Web, React JS, and Node
Strong knowledge in HTML 5, Tailwind CSS, SQL, and JavaScript,
Experience with GraphQL, Microservices, Restful Web Services, Webhooks, and APIs
Good understanding of SEO and ADA principles
 
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
At least eight years of related experience required.

About the Role
We are looking for a Production Graphic Designer to join our Design team. In this role you’ll help to work on a variety of projects ranging from producing and designing both digital and physical assets; include email campaigns, promos, social media, store signage, to site pages and more. Must have the ability to work as a team, handling multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on production design through final executions, while maintaining our brand aesthetic throughout the process.
This role requires an organized, detail oriented, and motivated candidate who works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll report directly to the Design Director while partnering with the rest of the Creative, Design, and Marketing teams to execute these tasks.
Our company is passionate about our customers, products, and shopping experience so the ideal candidate will also have a personal connection to the Dolls Kill brand, an intuitive understanding of our customers, and an ability to highlight our aesthetic.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design process producing and executing; including layouts, production design, promotions, emails, social, and any other requested marketing materials.
Ability to maintain quality under pressure and while delivering multiple projects.
Deep understanding of layout and typography for web, print, mobile, and social media.
Strong attention to detail, organized and self motivated.
Requirements

Minimum 2+ Years experience in a design role (agency, studio, or in-house for e-commerce/retail preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Design and Visual Communication, Communications Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Proficiency in Photoshop
Proficiency in Illustrator
Proficiency in InDesign
Proficiency in Figma
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
