Position Overview: Performs set up and operates Powder paint system and Powder booths for the finishing department.

In this function you will:   

  • Startup Powder booths.
  • Identification and set up of powder colors.
  • Perform manual powder coater operations.
  • Performs proper operator care of equipment and coordination with finish supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot various and appropriate powder problems.
  • Clean auto gun system to ensure proper spray.
  • Ensure quality and proper coverage on all products.
  • Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
  • Keep area safe and other duties as assigned.
  • Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Working knowledge of air line systems.
  • Ability to ID different B-line products.
  • Able to work and produce effectively with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Powder coat and finish experience.
  • Computer skills to include loading and operating controls.
  • Ability to read, interpret and operate within strict guidelines.
  • Able to read tape measures, scales, ph-meters, etc.

Position Success Criteria:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending with assistance
  • Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas) and Chemical PPE.
  • Environment exposure to chemicals involved with powder and clean up products.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours plus and perform repetitious tasks
  • Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail

Eaton’s Airport Lighting Products group is hiring for a Lead Electrical Engineer. This role will be based out of our facility in Windsor, CT or Syracuse, NY and has the flexibility for remote work for candidates who living more than 50 miles outside of the locations listed and residing in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont. This position reports to the Manager, New Product Introductions Lighting platforms. This role will develop broad range of technology solutions for products used in industrial and airport lighting applications. Our products are designed to with stand toughest environments and are highly engineered to meet stringent regulatory standards. Eaton’s industrial and airport lighting product portfolio is going through a digital transformation. This role will be part of the core team that will lead this transformation.

Technical responsibilities

  • Technical lead for new product development programs related to lighting platforms (lighting products, control systems and power regulators)
  • Creates product specifications based on customer and marketing requirements
  • Initiate thorough evaluation of competitive products, features, technologies, patents, production costs, and field reliability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues based in global design and manufacturing centers.
  • Initiate and participate in design thinking workshops to solve customer challenges
  • Develop DFMEA, and test plans required for thorough product validation testing
  • Lead architect of electrical designs and lead technical reviews of proposed solutions
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and develop designs to meet those standards

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum 6 years of Engineering experience is required
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in electrical or computer engineering with a focus on power electronics or control systems
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, or PLECS;
  • Proven hands-on experience with power converter hardware development and testing
  • Experience with modern converter topologies, specifically isolated AC-DC converters and constant current regulators
  • Thorough understanding of PCB layout and EMC/EMI design practices, insulation and interconnection techniques;
  • Familiarity with control methods, experience with microcontrollers and digital signal processors.
