Overview
Elevate is recruiting Medical Bill Review Associates. Elevate is changing the way legal support services are delivered and we are looking for creative, innovative people who can help. As an Elevate Medical Bill Review Associate, you will be a part of an onshore Medical Bill Review (MBR) team and report to the director of the MBR department. You will be responsible for delivering MBR work support via the use of PDF, Excel, and Word reporting to provide audits of medical bills and review of associated medical records.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Specifically, Medical Bill Review Associates will
- Complete Final Review of MBR reports using Excel and Word reporting to provide audits of medical bills and review of medical records for customers.
- Understanding of medical billing principles and medical terminology.
- Audit medical billing charges based on standardized fee references for accuracy of billing and coding.
- Analyze medical bill charges based on standard coding including ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Generate Excel spreadsheet based on findings of medical bill review.
- Work on special projects as needed including data entry, electronic filing, merging of documents, etc.
Experience
- 2-years of relevant medical billing and medical adjudication experience in the Health Care Industry preferred.
- Experience working in a growing, fast-paced organization with a dynamic environment.
- Excellent track record in previous customer service engagements.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including MS Word and Excel.

Technical Skills
- Claims experience and/or medical billing experience (preferred not required).
- Knowledge of medical coding ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, NDC, APC and DRG coding preferred.
- Ability to use computers and web-based programs.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent work-related experience.
Compensation
- The pay rate for this remote-based contract role is $25-30/hour based on job-related skills, experience, level, and location.
