Responsibilities

  • Carries out onsite security activities in order to ensure the security of staff and customers in the center
  • Maintains and follows security procedures for building accessibility and related activities (maintenance of visitor logs, sign in and out procedures)
  • Monitors facility and makes recommendations for security improvements
  • Follows escalation procedures for security threats or issues, including evacuation procedures
  • Follows security procedures and provides input to management for improvements
  • Reports any breaches related to security
  • Participates in coordination of fire drills and mock evacuation exercises
  • Conducts regular physical inspection of facility, reports any security or safety issues to the supervisor

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of 47-hour security guard training
  • Registered Security Guard with the Division of Licensing Services or current active police officer
  • Three years of experience working as a security guard
  • Training and experience in working with electronic monitoring systems

Responsibilities

  • Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
  • Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
  • Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy
  • May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventory
  • Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding
  • Communicates with internal and external customers in a pleasant and professional manner
  • May process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction
  • Assists in the training of new employees
  • Also performs at least one of the following:
    • Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room;
    • Works with automated machine to prepack drugs;
    • Manages inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications, managing to the pharmacy standard for Days on Hand;
    • Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry);
    • Mixes/packages IV medications, sanitizes IV room, equipment and hood
  • Services facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)
  • Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Required:  High School diploma or equivalent.  Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology.  Ability to operate a computer; ability to recognize and identify medications.  Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, effective oral communication.  Pharmacy Technician license.
  • Desired:  Long Term Care pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

Program Management:
• Manage the Onco360/CareMed Quality Assurance Program process end to end.
• Develop and implement annual Quality Assurance Plan.
• Conduct investigations of reported quality incident reports (QIR), and work with pharmacy operations and customer service to ensure resolution.
• Assist with compliance investigations.
• Assist Compliance Officer with special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Serves as the Co-Chair of the Compliance Committee
Licensing:
• Serve as the lead for all BOP licensing activities.
• Correspond with assigned Boards of Pharmacy (BOPs), DEA, and outside agencies on behalf of Onco360/CareMed.
• Research state BOP regulations and requirements (inspection triggers, signage requirements, label requirements, etc.). Notify pharmacies of upcoming regulatory changes that will affect practice.
• Assist pharmacies with Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) change applications required by applicable BOP of which the pharmacy is licensed.
• Maintains current list of inspections, corrective plans of actions and consent orders for all pharmacies.
• Zero Reporting / Waiver Tracking –complete zero reports to prescription drug monitoring programs for pharmacies as required. Monitor and renew exemptions and maintain spreadsheet.

• Secure proper licensure for each facility with assigned BOP, DEA and where required, State CSR licensing agency.
• Monitor expiration of each assigned license and work in conjunction with each facility to timely process each renewal application. Includes both resident-state licenses as well as all non-resident licenses. Further maintain copies of each license within company files.
• Serve as an administrator of the license tracking database.
• Serve as a primary resource of facility ownership, name, and address information for numerous purposes throughout the company.
• File pharmacy changes/closings/openings with applicable Boards of Pharmacy, DEA, etc.
• Communicate pharmacy changes/closing/openings throughout the company to maintain consistent and accurate facility information.
Auditing and Monitoring:
• Actively monitors pharmacy and prescription related compliance, protocols, and responsibilities of employees via phone monitoring of pharmacy operations.
• Conduct and serve as lead for monthly quality assurance monitoring to meet contract requirements with various pharmaceutical partners, payers, etc.
• Audits patient profiles while monitoring calls.
• Assists in identifying potential compliance risks, including changes in regulations or operations. Designs methods/tools to assess and evaluate systems and processes related to general pharmacy operations. Updates processes, as needed.
• Conducts frequent Medicare, Medicaid, Copay Card, Call Monitoring, patient profile, etc. audits and reports out results to pharmacy operations, Compliance Committee, etc.
• Conducts on-site audits of pharmacy locations and works with pharmacy operations to resolve identified issues.
• Monitors and provides analysis of state legislative/regulatory activity and assists with implementation of changes.
Other:
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Compliance Officer.
• The healthcare environment changes over time to meet patient, business, and regulatory demands. The expectations of this position will evolve with those changes.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
• Some travel required

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or Law. At least five (5) years of compliance and quality assurance experience.
• Desired: Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or Business, or related field.
