Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the group & catering sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based group customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. Provides support for the entire group & catering sales activities for the property, including prospecting and segmentation, developing the group & catering strategy for the new hotel opening. Monitors and manages team group room nights, local and group catering sales goals and makes recommendations on goals for direct reports. Creates opportunities to grow the account base through customer interactions

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

OR

• 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 6 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Supporting Developing & Executing Sales Strategies

• Works with sales leader to ensure understanding of catering sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the property.

• Works with catering sales team to create and implement a catering sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment.

• Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.

Maximizing Revenue

• Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).

• Recommends booking goals for sales team members.

Managing Sales Activities

• Monitors all day to day activities of direct reports.

• Approves space release for catering to maximize revenue (DOS, Group) in the absence of a Business Evaluation Manager.

• Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

• Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

Analyzing & Reporting on Sales and Financial Data

• Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property’s financial room and catering goals.

• Assists Revenue Management with completing accurate six period projections.

• Reviews guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement.

Building Successful Relationships

• Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.

• Works with Human Resources, Engineering and Loss Prevention to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and/or union requirements.

• Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with Ritz-Carlton Global Sales Organization Managers and accounts.

• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

• Meets with guests during pre- and post-event meetings to obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g., rooms, meeting facilities and equipment, food and beverage), service levels, execution against contract and overall satisfaction.

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities

• Interviews and hires management and hourly employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.

• Utilizes all available on the job training tools for employees.

A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms hallways and public areas in the hotel servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures stocking cart with room supplies and replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances this role would also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks.

Maid has the responsibility of keeping the guest rooms clean, tidy and attractive, corridors, public areas of the hotel, cleaning the rooms according to hotel procedures, filling the carts with material, replacing the line, and restocking the room with amenities following the company standards and security procedures. In some cases this role would also be responsible for performing ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room along with preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • This position requires strong attention to detail ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form.

  • Maintain a cordial and helpful treatment towards clients and among employees.
    Report regularly for work as established by Aimbridge Hospitality standards and as required by the work schedule which will vary based on hotel needs.
    Show impeccable personal appearance and hygiene. This includes properly wearing the uniform and nameplate of the person (based on brand standards)
    Always abide by Aimbridge Hospitality rules and regulations to ensure efficient hotel operation.
    Clean and fully stock the rooms that are required in one shift.
    Complete all pre-cleaning duties including but not limited to the preparation of the cleaning cart with items for clients, cleaning supplies and linens.
    Remove all debris and remove bedding, towels and other dirty items from rooms.
    Carry out other task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
    It may be necessary to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room for a deep cleaning.
    Deep cleaning tasks may include, but are not limited to, changing the AC filter, cleaning the AC coils, touching up paint on walls / trim, touching up scratched furniture, or replacing closed sliding doors.
