Full Job Description

The Power Electronics System Integration Engineer provides consultation and technical direction to the team developing state-of-the art power conversion products. The activities include contributing to the design, development, troubleshooting, and verification of open and closed loop control systems for products and systems for the Aviation power industry. In this role, you will be responsible for performing engineering work and applied research in the development for next generation military aircraft and ground vehicles.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, and verify open and closed loop control systems for power electronic products such as converters and inverters for the Aviation power industry.
  • Perform system level integration of power electronic circuits and associated control and interface circuits to meet the requirement of the engineering specification
  • Implement the control algorithms using hardware and software techniques

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering position

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience
  • Design, testing and troubleshooting experience with large power supplies or frequency converters
  • Design, testing and troubleshooting experience with high performance digital control techniques for power converters
  • Knowledge of power electronics, analog and digital circuit
  • Experience using software developing tools for DSP/MCU and FPGA.
  • Experience using test equipment like Oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Previous experience within the field of power electronics controls and applications, with a focus on avionics or military applications
  • Proficiency with standard electrical engineering CAD tools (i.e schematic entry, simulation)

Full Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for managing software implementation and service projects. The Project Manager also works with clients and GEHC employees to plan and execute projects on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

  • Creating and maintaining of project charters by collaborating with our commercial and other internal teams and obtaining sign-off from the client.
  • Facilitating and coordinating, as well as tracking, of day-to- day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, and/or the standard terms and conditions of the contract
  • Writing project schedules for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities.
  • Develop and manage project within time and financial budget.
  • Managing client expectations of product and services.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Communicating all of the requirements and commitments (both verbally and in writing) for each project with clients, GEHC staff and management.
  • Maintaining alignment between the project team and external resources.
  • Providing leadership and direction for clients and GEHC personnel responsible for the project.
  • Managing revenue associated with client projects.
  • Acting as an effective team leader for all matrixed staff.
  • Creating project status reports for all assigned clients.
  • Adopting a proactive approach to identify risks to project success and create and maintain a project risk log; develop effective action plans for resolution as early as possible.
  • Document and drive project issues to successful completion.
  • Maintaining accurate list of client projects with current status.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of project management experience, or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years progressive experience in project management).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proven leadership and effective decision-making capabilities
  • Proven project management experience in complex environments
  • Ability to monitor and manage critical path elements of consolidated projects
  • Ability to manage all aspects of customer service, customer satisfaction, and contractual commitments
  • Experience managing revenue generating projects
  • Increased responsibilities include leadership opportunities within the services business
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
