Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Relations, the Database Management Specialist manages the department database. The Database Management Specialist maximizes our use of a customer relationship management software, develops and implements policies/procedures, produces reports, directs data analysis, streamlines department data recording and ensures a secure and efficient environment for collecting data. In addition, the ideal candidate possesses an understanding of how data can tell a story and impacts how the team approaches fundraising opportunities. The Database Management Specialist also supports the External Relations Team with special projects.

Job Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree required.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
– Relatable skills and knowledge that ensure successful ownership of a customer relationship management database.

The Community Manager (CMs) is responsible for engaging a wide variety of partners and Girl Scout volunteers within their communities in order to:
• Develop and execute effective community outreach that successfully increases awareness and understanding with girls, families and partners that Girl Scouts is for them; and,
• Increases Girl Scouts’ engagement within a community which results in an increase in the number of girls and families who participate in and benefit from Girl Scouts.

The CM will use relationship-building strategies, plans and activities that lead to girls and adults discovering and engaging in Girl Scouts through flexible options that directly contribute to their girls’ sense of community, growth and impact.

Critical skills required to be successful in this role, include, but are not limited to:
• Community organizing
• Community- and relationship-building
• Presentation and facilitation skills (in-person/virtual)
• Marketing
• Project management, reporting and analyzing data for purposes of taking appropriate action
• Confidence in operating in cloud-based software platforms such as: Office 365 or GoogleSuite, and, Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management
• Possible supervision of seasonal staff members

• A minimum of 2 years in working with communities in youth, family and/or volunteer service organizations
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Valid California driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.

Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Preferred experience with SalesForce
• Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) skills
• Knowledge of Girl Scout mission, standards, systems, and programs.
• Knowledge of other cultures
