Layout Inspector

  • Perform layout on castings of various sizes, shapes and complexities. Compare casting features to blueprint and model specifications.
  • Become familiar with the function of the 3d printer and be able to set up and run any prints that are required.
  • Inspect and clean layout equipment at the start of each shift to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with the customer to determine the exact set-up procedure.
  • Work on tooling wear reviews by using the Romer Arm Scanner and Polyworks to be able to overlay the tooling scan to the previous scan or tooling model.
  • Use Romer Arm Scanner to verify casting dimensions on castings according to blueprint specifications.
  • Use CMM to perform capability studies for specified key characteristics.
  • Record findings on layout report after inspection of each casting including recording all castings in area as scrap, on hold or good for production.
Finishing Room Supervisor
  • Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member.
  • High School Diploma and additional courses, or equivalent. Three to five years of experience preferred.
  • Supervise diversified work, operations and procedures and make decisions within applied technology.
  • Requires great attention to detail and accuracy to avoid errors that would cause delay or dissatisfaction.
  • Moderate physical exertion. Able to lift up to 40 pounds. Physical movement includes some repetitive motion, with twisting and bending.
  • Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE. (Safety goggles, hearing protections, steel-toe non-slip safety shoes, and gloves as needed when on the shop floor.)
  • Able to work overtime as assigned
