We are searching for the best talent for Senior Director, Small Molecules Drug Product to be in New Jersey or Pennsylvania state.

Purpose: This Position is responsible for leading a global, mature team responsible for managing effective relationships for the manufacturing operations of contract suppliers and alliance partners of high complexity products to ensure that products are available to meet customer needs, provide the highest quality at the lowest total cost of ownership, and achieve maximum relationship value through accelerated innovation, supplier integration, process improvement, and collaboration. These external relationships are highly complex in nature and require extensive interaction with key business stakeholders, critical supplier leadership, and other segment/functional leadership.

Organize, design, and allocate specific responsibilities across the team to optimize effectiveness and ensure alignment to short, and long-term strategic objectives of the Janssen Supply Chain.

You will be responsible for:

STRATEGY

Influence and support J&J strategy by providing input to JSC and MTO Operations on the Process and Network Councils and Product development groups, as applicable.

Benchmark other J&J and external companies and industries to identify improvements and best in class processes to support Contract Manufacturing, Alliance Management, Product Development and Business Development initiatives.

Develop vision, strategy and operating principles that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the internal business partners and deliver maximum value for J&J.

MARKET ASSESSMENT/CONTRACTOR ASSESSMENT/NEW BUSINESS INTEGRATION

Assess external manufacturer’s capacity and capabilities to support sourcing and ensure JSC’s needs can be met.

Lead external manufacturer assessment and new product implementation in coordination with the Product Development & Technical Development groups (Stage Gate 7 and beyond).

Establish/define technology transfer expectations and supply strategy.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

Manage a team of 10+ direct and indirect reports to ensure strong results through effective performance management, development planning and ongoing engagement.

Deliver on compliance, supply, strategy, and financial commitments.

Develop and implement action plans to support the J&J, JSC, MTO, Small Molecule Platform and PES talent strategies.

Ensure business continuity through the effective management of critical pipeline positions.

TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

Provide oversight and support for the implementation of product launch plans at external manufacturers to ensure that product is available within predetermined timeframe.

Serve as the escalation point for when critical supplier issues remain unresolved

SENIOR LEVEL CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT & ESCALATION

Serve as the head of the PES Quartet model, ensuring all functions work synergistically with PES including MSAT, External Quality, EM Procurement, Planning and Finance to meet all objectives with our external partners.

Support Procurement in ensuring supply agreements and/or contracts are established, holding all organizations accountable are established with measures to ensure compliance.

Ensure supply planning for EM sites are developed and implemented with processes in place for ongoing the assessment of supplier cost, quality, capacity, technical capabilities, best practices capabilities, security and compliance to align with the Supply Chain.

Ensure appropriate priorities, requirements, expectations, results, and customer/supplier needs between JSC, suppliers, and supply chain partners are defined and established through the use of Development Agreements and Supply Contracts.

Interface directly with CEOs and other supplier leadership to ensure alignment with J&J’s objectives, including compliance, reliability, service and cost.

Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that result in dynamic, interactive dialogue on a broad range of topics with information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions.

Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance and compliance management, and improvement of end-to-end value, bringing innovation to the business.

Qualifications
BS/BA, Graduate degree preferred. MS, PhD, or MBA highly desirable.

13+of experience in the areas of general manufacturing (pharma, chemical, biologics, other regulated) and business management (business development/procurement) are important for leveraging into the various situations that develop. Issues involving operations, regulatory compliance, logistics, health, safety and environmental and/or finance frequently arise and must be recognized and resolved quickly. Background in complex contract negotiation, new product development, and general legal awareness make the incumbent better prepared to represent the business perspective of JSC’s relationship.

Minimum 5 years of experience managing professionals with diverse functional / technical experience.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care professionals and to internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. The MSL acts as an established scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future Janssen Cardiovascular and Metabolism (CVM) products. The MSL is responsible for staying abreast of current scientific and treatment landscape trends in therapeutic areas of interest. The MSL provides research support for company and investigator initiated research.

The MSL is responsible for building external relationships with the health care provider team (MD, PA, NP, RN, Pharm.D.) and developing and managing a geographical territory. These relationships and engagements will include both virtual & in person.

The MSL is responsible for developing and maintaining a territory strategic plan, which includes clinical activities with identified OLs, institutions, community practices, pathways influencers and advocacy organizations.

The MSL role is one that requires a level of competency and experience in the disease state, as an MSL.
