Position description
The Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (OEID) program manager develops, coordinates, maintains and supports programs, events, projects, and an integrated and formal infrastructure for the office and in support of Mayo Clinic’s Equity, Inclusion and Diversity strategic priorities. They participate in and support OEID operations and strategic plan strategies and tactics. Ensure that programs and events align with the OEID and institutional mission, vision and objectives; ensures that key institutional messages are communicated through programs and events. Partners with EID Advisors and leaders to manage and coordinate EID and institutional resources to achieve projects and event objectives and strategies and communicates with internal and external collaborators and OEID stakeholders. Serves as a liaison representing OEID on other committees, task forces, institutional or community initiatives, as appropriate.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in management, business, public or health care administration, project management or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related business experience, including program, project, and/or event management experience.

Additional qualifications
Broad-based program, event and/or project related experience is required in order to coordinate a wide range of activities. Must have broad-based knowledge of office support and computer systems. Ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects and assignments with multiple priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Must have strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated effectiveness in planning and group dynamics, including team problem solving skills. Experience working with diverse populations and audiences is highly desired. Must be capable of working collaboratively in a complex organization. Ability to work effectively in a consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork. Able to guide and direct activities across multiple professional disciplines and business units, and work effectively with various levels of management.

Compensation Detail
Required education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The salary range every 2 weeks is approx. $2,416 -$3,261.60 based on a full-time position.

Position description
The staffing coordinator supports patient care units by receiving staffing requests and allocating available resources within the Department of Nursing on a shift-by-shift basis. Allocates available staffing resources based on identified patient care needs by reviewing staffing recommendation reports, comparing recommended staffing with unit staffing resources and requests, and collaborating with charge RNs to meet staffing needs. Analyzes staffing patterns and trends to determine when staffing needs are balanced or when to send messages to hire or grant excused absences. Assists with contacting staff at home to grant excused absences, communicate placement, and/or determine their availability to work. Assists in orienting nurse managers, nursing supervisors, and RN staff to staffing practices and procedural guidelines and practices.

Qualifications
High school graduate or GED required.

Additional qualifications
Prefer prior experience with inpatient care unit in a patient care or support role. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Work area is open from 4:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Staffing Coordinators work a variety of shifts during these weekday hours. (4:30 AM – 1:00 PM; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM; 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

(Note: Orientation for the first 8 weeks is full time, 80 hours)

Weekend schedule
Every third weekend, 12 hour shifts (4:30 AM – 5:00 PM; 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM; 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)

Nursing Assistant assists patients with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care, which support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The nursing assistant carries out designated activities that are within those functions limited by law to unlicensed nursing personnel. This includes assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to patients and assisting in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent required within one year of hire. One of the following is also required: 1) Successful completion within the last five years of the Acute Care component of the Nursing Assistant Program; 2) Enrolled in a nursing degree program and have completed one semester of clinical rotations through an acute care hospital setting within the last five years; 3) One year or more within the last five years providing direct care as a nursing assistant, patient care assistant, or related experience in a healthcare setting; 4) Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program, or equivalent, within the past 5 years.
Additional qualifications
Special Skills: Demonstrates ability to multi-task under stressful situations. Demonstrates ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary members while maintaining patient/family centeredness and safety in a timely, efficient and equitable manner. Keyboard experience preferred.

BLS certification included in orientation program; successful completion required prior to first day in patient care
