Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate, creative, self-starting software developer who thrives in a start-up environment. You will be expected to work on many levels – from high level vision, to design and implementations of both self-contained components and large, team-oriented code bases. Your coding skills will be challenged writing scalable, distributed, and highly efficient components. You will also be responsible for monitoring live site to ensure rock-solid availability. Understanding of Machine Learning, IR and NLP techniques is preferred. You will be responsible for evaluating new techniques by defining the metrics to measure their effectiveness, identifying opportunities through data mining, evaluating the results of A/B experiments as well as implementation of your techniques into our offline and live production systems. As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to shipping software through multiple product cycles while dealing with challenges such as cross-team dependencies, rapid shipping schedules, and ambiguous requirements.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Recently graduated or currently attending the Ada Academy
  • Experience in designing, developing or shipping software
  • Experience in a software engineering environment
  • Enjoy learning new technologies

Software Engineering IC2 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 – $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 – $165,400 per year.

Responsibilities

Director of Partner & Field Engagement

This is a unique, strategic role responsible for developing and executing the CVP’s partner and field engagement strategy including partner tiering and communications, sponsorships, ensuring strategic use of CVP time, coordination of partner engagement with other executive offices, coaching leaders to ensure successful and highly leveraged engagements, and identifying appropriate sales strategies.

The ideal candidate works well in a team, driving high quality results in an ambiguous, high-pressure environment.  Additionally, the position will require strong initiative, ability to focus, prioritize, strong stakeholder management, and outstanding communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities include:

Leading the strategy, process, and execution of the CVP’s partner engagement (Partner meetings, EBCs, sponsorship engagements, partner events & conferences)

  • Oversee the full strategy, prioritization, preparation, and follow-up process
  • Drive clarity of process and prioritization with VP’s and business managers in GPSUS, holding appropriate content providers accountable
  • Ensure effective prep (backgrounders), execution, and engagement follow-up
  • Coach and drive accountability and progress with Partner Development Managers (PDM’s)
  • Align with external communications initiatives to support overall external persona of the CVP and leverage external network (via LinkedIn)
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify and execute additional opportunities for engagement
  • Drive alignment of partner engagement activities with executive offices of MSUS President, MCAPS President, and the Microsoft Senior Leadership team

Maximizing impact within the executive sponsored accounts

  • Identify strategy and assess impact for engagement on executive sponsored accounts
  • Drive accountability and progress with PDM’s
  • Ensure consistent engagement with key partner contacts at executive sponsor accounts

Managing Partner-facing executive events

  • Create and execute prioritization framework for CVP’s meetings for key events such as Accelerate and Inspire.
  • Partner with field teams to ensure effective preparation and follow-up

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent)
  • 5 years of sales, business management, operations, or program management experience
