Responsibilities

  • Develop Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout implementation of complex electrical designs
  • Complete schematic capture and net list generation of electrical designs using the Altium Design tool
  • Define electrical component substitutions for existing designs
  • Execution of PCB layout of complex multi-layer and rigid flex circuit board designs
  • Drive PCB development for prototype/proof-of-concept for electrical designs.
  • Complete electrical PCB debug and SMT (Surface Mount) rework corrections of the electrical designs

Qualifications

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical design implementation to meet EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standards, Intrinsic safety and wireless concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design using Altium designer
  • Solid interpersonal skills in design collaboration with electrical engineering team

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Knowledge of high-speed PCB layout design techniques/methods
  • Knowledge of wireless/RF PCB layout design techniques/methods

Education and Experience Required:

  • BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering , electronics or related discipline

We are looking for a 2nd shift Production Technician in our Sensors department, located in our Cranberry Township, PA plant.

This position is responsible for the assembly, modification, and rework of moderately complex combustible, electro-chemical and infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring, soldering, and connecting.  Position is also responsible for testing and troubleshooting.  Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives is required.  In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test (including set-up), complex combustible, electro-chemical or infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering.  Some trouble-shooting required
  • Pick material out of the warehouse
  • Perform visual inspections and  minor repairs and rework
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
  • Ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
  • Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP
  • Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification
  • Strong manual dexterity requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness
  • Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to infrequently stand in a stationary position
  • Ability to use power and hand tools, and custom tooling
  • Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area
  • Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts
  • Ability to wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes, lab coat, sleeves, gloves and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 months manufacturing or other related experience

Experience Preferred:

  • Past soldering experience

  • Create exploded view and line art drawings that support customer facing documentation needs including user instructions, parts lists, and repair and service instructions.  Utilize engineering sketches, specifications and any other data to support the product life cycle for both mechanical and electrical disciplines.  Recognize discrepancies or errors and seek out alternative solutions for obstacles encountered. Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

  • Associates degree or related two-year technical school degree with an emphasis on CAD

Experience with:

    • Drawing tolerances and tolerance stacking
    • SolidWorks in creation of detailed drawings
