Full Job Description

We are seeking a junior production executive on the Animation Series Production Team. This role will support and work with cross functional teams, filmmakers, and artists in development on our growing slate of animated series. The ideal person must be able to handle a fast paced environment and provide production management and balanced decision making in supporting multiple projects.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, and flexible, while being able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities. Excellent written and verbal communication is a must. Requires impeccable organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. Ability to be discreet and handle confidential information. This is a demanding and fast moving position that requires someone who is a positive thinker able to exercise good judgment and be loosely coupled to the rest of the Series Production Team.

  • At least 3 years experience in an animation production capacity that carries responsibility and ownership
  • Be the first point of production contact, the central Netflix communication point for productions in development and Netflix cross functional teams
  • Track the work against schedules and production reports
  • Train crews in complexity tools and guide in managing assumptions and complexity throughout all phases of production
  • Train and manage crews in sharing shipping materials to production studios. Ensure that shipped materials meet expected standards
  • Spearhead understanding of animation production studio needs
  • Identify and manage gaps in pipeline, technical support, shotgun ensuring that development productions have necessary tools and deciding the priority of introducing new tools and training
  • Propose and implement the updating and maintenance of Netflix information sources, new tools and best workflows
  • Onboard and train show leadership and potential studios on Netflix processes, tools and resources
  • Update Netflix generic development schedules and budgets
  • Update Netflix development schedules/crew trackers and maintain the slate
  • Organizing and tracking deal types for crew, following up when needed

Qualifications

  • 3 years in animated television series production, production manager level preferred
  • Experienced in more than one phase of production and in more than one department of a production; would be better if they have production experience versus development, with interest in development
  • Organized in thinking and action, able to take charge and be decisive and know when to elevate a problem
  • Self-starter, has implemented processes or pipeline improvements on prior productions
  • Interest in working in a team and good people skills
  • Possess integrity

  • Ability to be articulate, have good written skills and be a clear communicator
  • Ability to be discreet and handle confidential information

We are looking for a Manager in Retail Marketing to oversee the marketing team and serve as the lead for any CP marketing touchpoints of the Netflix brand and/or content globally. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, with the overall goal of ensuring that Netflix consumer products are an extension of title brand campaigns and delivering on our promise to create fan joy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owns global CP marketing strategy for our content across all general merchandise (e.g. toys, collectibles, consumables, apparel, etc) in collaboration with our regional leads in EMEA, LATAM and eventually APAC.
  • Develops marketing strategies that maximize our title and portfolio output, achieving a balance between driving consumer demand (a proxy for fan joy) and delivering meaningful revenue.
  • Drive full omnichannel consumer journey from in-store communication, to e-commerce, social commerce etc.
  • Responsible for Retail Marketing  team management and development.
  • Be an internal and external champion of the opportunity and vision with regards to our marketing strategy and push for innovation, out-of-the box ideas and unique campaigns.
  • Serve as the right hand to the Sales team when selling in programs.
  • Responsible for retail budget.
  • Lead internal marketing brainstorms.
  • Manage outside vendors for project work such as retail toolkits, retail creative etc.
  • Take a creative-friendly approach to marketing and ensure appropriate internal stakeholders are involved in key marketing decisions.
  • Act as senior thought partner with key internal teams, including close collaboration with Licensing, Product Development, Legal, PR, Social & Editorial Teams, Brand Strategy, Content Marketing and Brand Partnerships.
  • Identify and share latest consumer and retail marketing trends, insights and retailer marketing strategies.
  • Key contributor to retail marketing post mortems, programs and pitch decks.
  • Serve as main marketing contact for agency (managing international business) on all marketing approvals.
  • Partner with retailers and licensees on all marketing programs.

What we need from you:

  • Demonstrated, 8+ years of experience in building and owning retail marketing strategies and executions at a reputable entertainment brand (studio, retailer, agency).
  • Experience in traditional retail marketing and brand marketing campaigns
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree (preferred).
  • Strong network of industry contacts within retail, marketing and licensing.
  • Deep retailer relationships and knowledge of their marketing strategies (Target, Walmart, Amazon, Specialty, H&M, Primark, Inditex Group etc.).
  • Deep connection to latest trends, innovator and out-of-the-box thinker
  • Self Starter with strong passion, who is able to work in a fast paced environment and able to navigate despite ambiguity.
  • International experience (preferred).
