Full Job Description

The New Orleans Pelicans are seeking positive and outgoing Game Night Staff members who will use their personality and skills to enhance the Pelicans game experience! Under general direction and supervision, this position is responsible for handling, preparing and implementing all elements of the overall game experience. This position is part time, and will require late nights, weekends and open availability for a majority of the New Orleans Pelicans home games and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support and coordinates on court games, contests, and activations including selecting contestants from the audience
  • Assist in the coordination of in-game elements with a focus on fan interactivity during pre-game, halftime and game breaks
  • Act as an enthusiastic brand ambassador for the organization in and out of the arena during all games and various external events
  • Escorts and coordinates performers for game entertainment; ( E.g. National Anthem Performers, DJ’s, Pelicans Drumline etc.)
  • Works closely with the New Orleans Pelicans Dance Teams and assists with various needs
  • Prepares and facilitates giveaways during the games
  • Supports the arena host during the games
  • Assists camera shots by working with the production crew and designated Smoothie King Center employees

Qualifications:

  • Must be hardworking, upbeat, and able to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment
  • Hard-working and knowledgeable about the sports, live entertainment/production, and special event industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to multi-task and address problems in a high-stress, fast-paced live event/production environment
  • Ability to work the majority of scheduled Pelicans home games, additional home playoff games, select rehearsals and occasional special events
  • Takes directions well and is a dedicated team player
  • Ability to work well with others including Show Caller, other stage managers, Game Experience staff, camera operators, hosts, VIPs and more
  • Ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs at a time

The New Orleans Saints and Pelicans are seeking an Administrative Coordinatorto support our Legal and Human Resourcesdepartments. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and organizing corporate contracts, data entry of employee benefits activities, and various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

Legal:

  • Assist in management of contracts, including the general organization of, tracking of signatures, and calendaring applicable dates
  • General organization and management of league memorandums and policies, insurance policies, and litigation materials, including document review
  • Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems
  • Initial draft preparation of form corporate documents for review by in-house legal counsel

Human Resources:

  • Coordinate and update benefit claim activities reports for the organization’s self-funded health insurance plan
  • Data entry and reporting of monthly benefit billing premiums for health, dental, and vision insurance plans, as well as worker’s compensation claims
  • Update employee 401K contribution changes and rollovers with 401K providers
  • Assist with health insurance open enrollment period
  • Update and maintain employee personnel files and records

General:

  • Assist with general reporting needs and special projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an administrative support position is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with contract management software and DocuSign is preferred
