EMC Test Technician

Trialon are the leaders in the providing Automotive Testing Services that includes Environmental Simulations, Vibration Testing, EMC/EMI, ESD, Vehicle Emissions Testing and Engine & Chassis Dynamometer Testing.  We are currently seeking an experienced EMC Technician for our Burton, Michigan location.

About This Position:

The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Technician executes the actual product testing per a test plan and OEM Specifications. The technician is responsible for an accurate test set-up, data collection, and date reporting.  We are seeking several  EMC Test Technicians with 2-5+ years of experience working in an EMC Test or Electrical Test Laboratory Environment.

EMC Test Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs EMC Testing in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab following automotive test standards and product test plans.
  • Accurately records test results and prepare results for reporting.
  • Communication to EMC Test Engineering for approval/notification.
  • Setup and operates RF measurement equipment including but not limited to: EMI Receivers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Signal Generators and Power Meters.
  • Setup and operates monitoring equipment including Oscilloscopes and CAN tools.
  • Performs regular laboratory upkeep activities and preventative maintenance tasks for equipment longevity and lab safety.
  • Comfortable working in multi shift environment and the information sharing required to ensure accurate and timely completion between different people working on the same projects.

EMC Technician’s Qualifications/Skills:

  • Must be able to work 7:30am-4:00pm-Monday-Friday.
  • Have a good understanding of Automotive EMC standards.
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits.
  • The ability to utilize hand tools and solder electronic components.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction is required.

Education: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Technology, or related technical discipline preferred.

Experience: Preferred 2-5+ years of prior experience in an EMC test laboratory environment.

Vibration Test Technician

Trialon Corporation is the leader in providing automotive testing services and we are seeking a Full time, Vibration Test Technician our Burton, Michigan location. We are seeking a Vibration Technician with a strong technical aptitude, proven customer service and a testing and validation background.

We are seeking a Full Time, Vibration Test Technician with 2-5+ years of Automotive Testing experience operating electrodynamic/hydraulic vibration systems or in dynamics/vibration testing. Under the general direction of the Lab Manager and support from the lead lab technician, the junior Vibration test lab technician performs mid-level lab activities including the test preparation, set-up, execution, compiling of the test data and the writing of the test report.

Vibration Test Technician Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • General test set-up and performance of Vibration & Shock tests
  • Instrumenting test devices/chambers per the customer’s request
  • Ability to collect test data utilizing vibration control systems, accelerometers, force sensors, thermocouples, strain gages, etc.
  • In depth analysis and verification of test setups, test levels and requirements
  • Troubleshooting and configurations and electrical set ups
  • Data documentation and write test reports
  • Ability to read and interpret requirements of various test specifications

Vibration Test Technician Qualifications/Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Vibration Research, Dactron and UD vibration controllers’ systems
  • 2-5+ years of exposure and/or the ability to program environmental chambers – Synergy, Watlow, and ESPEC
  • Working knowledge of basic Safety Practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be a strong team player
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Must have 2-5+ years of experience in operating electrodynamic/hydraulic vibration systems/experience in dynamics/vibration testing.
  • Must have one-year certificate from a college/technical school
  • Must have excellent computer skills required, knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of working expected hours 8am-6pm-Wednesday-Saturday (4 10/hr. days)
  • Willingness to travel to other Trialon Sites or customer locations

As the Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the facility repair and maintenance of all company building, properties, venues, and equipment. The Technician’s responsibilities will not be limited to HVAC systems. The role may include repairs and maintenance to include all building trade work. The roll will also include various projects and renovations.

Facility Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
  • Perform general maintenance to HVAC and other systems.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
  • Read technical blueprints, keep daily logs and records of maintenance and filters.
  • Ensure compliance with local, building, electrical and OSHA codes.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, measuring devices, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, testing equipment, lifts, ORVs and forklifts.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40lbs.
  • Interact and engage in a timely professional manner when resolving problems and requests from building tenants, guests & employees.
  • Working knowledge of boilers, kitchen equipment, air/water systems, balancing, plumbing systems

Facility Technician Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an HVAC / Cascade refrigeration.
  • General overall experience working with various system such as compressed air, pneumatics, low voltage/high voltage controls.
  • Universal Refrigeration License and Cascade refrigeration experience a plus.
  • Basic computer & mobile device skills including working knowledge of Word & Excel.
  • Exhibit critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Must also have a solid working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and work habits, building codes and safety regulations.
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License and reliable transportation, auto insurance and reliable vehicle
  • Cascade refrigeration with a Universal refrigeration license a plus.
  • Must be able to work 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm), Monday-Friday with some overtime.

The Program Manager/Project Coordinator will be responsible for working with our sales team to generate quotes and managing multiple Test & Validation projects. Must be able to identify all technical requirements of assigned accounts to assure quotations are complete and professional. In addition to client relations, this role will interact with the Trialon Sales Team, General Manager’s, and Lab Personnel. Program Manager/Project Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Contact clients to qualify the potential of the quote request.
  • Receive and process request for quotations (RFQ).
  • Read & interpret documents such as customer DVP&R’s, Test Plans, and Client Specific Specifications.
  • Must provide excellent customer service through continuous and regular contact with clients for follow-up/updates, responding inquiries, and researching/resolving any client issues.
  • Actively maintain and update client information in CRM
  • Work with our clients to verify all test information, specifications and purchase orders prior to the start of a project.
  • Assist the Sales Team with client meetings, customer test programs and test requirements.
  • Must be able to work with the Lab Manager to discuss timelines
