The Business Systems Analyst Manager (BSA Manager) is a position within the Internal Consulting team that is responsible for business analysis, system analysis, and process improvement. BSA Managers have deep domain and industry expertise along with strong technical knowledge. BSA Managers have a strategic mindset along with the tactical rigor. They shape and influence the opinion of the business stakeholders, the technical solution, and the project scope. BSA Managers can lead multiple project workstreams. Experts have the ability to flex across multiple subject areas comfortably. BSA Managers coach senior and middle level business analysts

Essential Functions:

Lead and influence the business / system / product requirements with Business and Technology stakeholders to deliver projects and programs
Identify and develop strategic capabilities, revenue enablers, and improvement opportunities in the technology products and solutions
Act as trusted advisors to senior stakeholders, assist in implementing priorities, and resolve conflicts regarding the requirements and solutions
Serve as subject matter experts for the business analysis job family, by establishing and enforcing standards for requirements, user stories, features, and epics
Adept at producing technical, functional, and strategic artifacts such as context diagrams, business requirements, and business cases to support delivery of the projects across the SDLC
Possess subject matter expertise in the Subway ecosystem and develop the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to business stakeholders
Lead multiple product / solution workstreams, and collaborate with internal and external customers and stakeholders, including any third parties to gather business requirements and define software functionality, throughout the release lifecycle, from inception to general release to ongoing support. May also work with internal and/or external development teams and vendor partners to deliver project objectives
Align with Central PMO governance, and support the project and program managers to ensure that the projects are delivered on budget and on time
Lead current state assessments, evaluate results, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
Able to run medium sized projects independently, and backfill for Sr. PMs in large projects as situations arise Develop rigorous business cases to support the various portfolios and senior leadership, and provide training to business stakeholders to ultimately enable them to develop their own business cases
Develop frameworks, formula, and other intellectual capital to drive business / process improvement at Subway
Lead capability gap analyses to determine areas that need to be addressed based on current versus future state
Lead the Internal Consulting practice development initiatives such as training, intellectual capital development, benchmarking, training, and recruiting etc
In addition, all analysts in the Internal Consulting group should be flexible and adaptable with a client focused mindset.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience. Advanced graduate degree preferred
SCRUM Product Owner Certification preferred
8+ years overall experience in Consulting, IT services, and other Technology / Engineering functions. 5+ years experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, Product Management or Business Analyst
Recognized as an expert in QSR / Retail CPG industry or management consulting, and staying current with technology trends
Deep knowledge of software development lifecycles (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative). Experience working with and managing offshore and onshore development teams in Agile and Scrum methodologies using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA, TFS)
Expert influential communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), with the ability to exert influence and meet commitments in a highly matrixed organization
Exceptional consulting / management skills in a technical domain along with an ability to successfully juggle multiple initiatives and manage changing priorities
Ability to manage and mitigate risks. Thrives in ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
Market research skills, including a curiosity for new technology products and trends, and the ability to explain their business value and impact
Ability to lead diverse team members, influence disparate stakeholder groups and align them toward common goals and outcomes. Executive presence is a must have
